How to Choose Ansell Gloves (and Other PPE) Without Repeating My $23K Procurement Mistakes

- Test before you buy big. Every expensive mistake above could have been avoided with a two-week trial of sample batches. Ask for samples, hand them out, and see what people actually choose to wear at the end of the shift.
One more thing, and it's important: I've learned to ask “what's NOT included?” before I ask for the price. Some suppliers quote a low per-unit cost upfront, then add setup fees, freight, or minimum order quantities later. To be fair, it's not always deliberate—it's often just a sloppy quote. But the supplier who lists everything clearly, even when the total looks higher, usually costs less in the end. Transparency builds trust. And trust, in this business, is worth more than the discount.
