The fundamentals still hold: assess the hazard, select the right protection, ensure it's actually used. But the execution has transformed. Better data, better products, better engagement with the people who wear the gear. It's an evolution, not a revolution—but it's a real one.

So, what are nitrile gloves worth? In my books, they're worth the true cost of a safe hand at work. Not the sticker price. Not the box price. The price of knowing your people go home with all ten fingers, and that you didn't waste the safety budget in the process. Those two goals—protecting people and controlling costs—aren't in competition. They both come from good procurement habits. And it's time more of us updated those habits.
