Selecting the Right Ansell Gloves: A Procurement Manager's Buyer's Guide for Cut, Chemical, and General Protection

The Silver Shield (58-530) is a laminar barrier glove. It's thin but offers broad chemical resistance across hundreds of solvents. The catch? It doesn't have great grip on wet surfaces, and it's not cut-resistant. But for strictly chemical protection, it's our standard in the lab.

  3. How long does a pair need to last? If it's a single-use application (lab), pay less per pair. If it's multi-shift (manufacturing), invest in durability.

And my final bit of advice: before you order in bulk, get samples. We wasted $4,500 one year on a glove that looked great on paper but had terrible grip on our specific parts. A $50 sample order would've saved us that.
